Art Class: Double Portrait Inspired Prints

Our 7 and 8 year olds enrolled in Saturday Children’s Art Classes visited Double Portrait a few weeks ago. Not only did they love the installation of the show, and the imagery, but they really got it! Their assignment was to make a print advertisement for a favorite item. Notice in the attached photos how they made stylized “fonts” and thought about how to arrange the image and text (overlapping in some cases). The items they chose are hilarious—only kids this age would choose to advertise items such as the ocean and frogs!
